At Locke Vineyards, we believe wine is more than what’s in the glass—it’s about connection, storytelling, and creating an experience guests remember long after they leave.

We are seeking a hospitality-driven, sales-minded individual to join our team as a Wine & Farmhouse Shop Ambassador. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys meaningful guest interaction, and can confidently guide guests through elevated wine and retail experiences.

Position Overview

The Wine & Farmhouse Shop Ambassador is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving wine, wine club, and Farmhouse Shop sales. This role blends hospitality, storytelling, and sales with day-to-day tasting room and retail operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome and warmly engage all guests to the property, creating a memorable and personalized experience
  • Lead wine tastings and Elevated Flight experiences with confidence, professionalism, and authenticity
  • Share the Locke family story, estate vineyards, winemaking practices, and boutique products in a compelling way
  • Drive wine sales, wine club memberships, and Farmhouse Shop purchases through thoughtful recommendations
  • Handle routine sales transactions for wine, merchandise, and experiences using POS systems
  • Assist with merchandising, stocking, and display of wine and farmhouse products
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the tasting room and property
  • Support wine club fulfillment, special events, and private tastings as needed
  • Manage multiple guest groups while maintaining a polished and attentive presence

Qualifications

  • Must be 21+ years of age and RBS Certified
  • Previous hospitality, tasting room, or retail experience preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems, iPads, and general technology
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities with a positive, team-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge or interest in wine, agriculture, gardens, or local community is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and repetitive movement
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

Schedule & Compensation

  • Part-time: approximately 10–20 hours per week
  • Weekend availability required (Saturday/Sunday)
  • Additional hours during peak seasons, wine club releases, events, and festivals
  • Hourly: $18–$22 DOE
  • Tips + bonus opportunities based on sales performance
  • Employee discount + paid training

Training & Growth

This position includes a 90-day training and onboarding period, covering wine knowledge, systems, hospitality standards, and sales approach. A performance review will be conducted at the end of this period.
