Shipping policy
Legal Requirements
You must be 21 years of age or older, to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Locke Vineyards. By Federal law, receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a sober adult (a person 21 years of age or older who is not intoxicated). We encourage using a business address for shipments if possible. We also cannot ship to P.O. boxes because deliveries require a signature. Wines purchased from Locke Vineyards are not for resale, and are for personal consumption only.
Credit Card Charges
Orders are by credit card only. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
States Authorized for Direct Shipment
Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, we may or may not be able to ship to you. Please note that all wineries hold different licensing and permits for direct shipping out of state. There are select states where we can only ship three-tier, where we do not hold a direct shipping license. For these states, please understand that your shipment may take up to 2 weeks for delivery. This is due to state regulations, which causes the winery to use a third party for fulfillment. If your address has changed to an out of state address, we must be notified via email in advance to shipping. If you are unable to change your address on a wine order or place an order, we most likely don't hold the wine shipping permit to your state. The system will not let you checkout due to licensing.
Locke Vineyards uses Amador Wine Shipping out of Plymouth, California for three-tier state fulfillment. Please note that Locke Vineyards will run a charge for the wine and tax only. You will have a separate charge on your credit card from Amador Shipping for shipping and handling.
Shipping Days
Locke Vineyards will ship wine every other Tuesday, for most orders.
Orders being shipped to Delivery prior to Christmas Eve Dec. 24th, orders must be placed by December 10th. Some restrictions may apply. Locke Vineyards is not responsible for any delayed deliveries during the holiday season.

Wine is a Delicate Commodity
Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. Locke Vineyards is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser. However, Locke Vineyards has taken new measures to get your wine to you undamaged.
